Having known Craig and his music for well over a decade, I was especially intrigued when I first heard a few songs from his forthcoming album.

Not only was the songwriting strong and the guitar playing exceptional, as I have come to expect from Craig, but I was also drawn to the themes he was exploring throughout the collection.In songs such as Moment in Time and Inside, I discovered a more intimate and personal side of Craig than I had encountered before.

These songs reveal a deeper level of reflection and vulnerability, offering listeners a unique glimpse into both his creative process and personal journey. It was this honesty and authenticity that immediately drew me in.

Initially, Cafe Fontainebleau was conceived as a concept album inspired by Fontainebleau, France, the birthplace of Craig Payne.

However, it quickly evolved into a collection of diverse songs reflecting Craig's personal and musical journey.

When Michael Graham came on board as producer, the project truly came to life.

Michael's ability to hear beyond the original demo recordings, combined with his exceptional talent for arranging, editing, and production, transformed the tracks into something far beyond what Craig had imagined.

The result is an album that brings a fresh, exciting, and polished sound to Craig's music.

Unlike Craig's previous releases, which were recorded and mixed with a more live, organic feel, Cafe Fontainebleau benefits from a level of production that adds depth, clarity, and contemporary appeal while retaining the heart and authenticity of the songs.

The lead single, "Don't Let Us Lose Communication," is released on November 6, 2026, followed by "Soul Searching," a heartfelt tribute to John Lennon.

These singles pave the way for the album's release on January 29, 2027, accompanied by the thought-provoking single "Don't Tell Me How To Tie My Laces."
